The Turkish citizens residing in the USA have donated $100.000 within the framework of the aid campaign launched by the “Turkish Coalition of America” (TCA) for the relief efforts in the aftermath of the Typhoon Yolanda which has caused massive loss of lives and material damage in the Philippines in November 2013.

The first quarter of the aid amounting to $25.000 was handed over to the Philippine American Foundation for Charities at a ceremony held on 7 March 2014 attended by the Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Washington, Philippine Ambassador to Washington and members of the US House of Representatives. The rest of the donation will be delivered to the Philippine foundations in the USA in due course.
